Highlights of 2012

March

The major milestone of 2012 was of course the birth of our 2nd born, Dragon Warrior Rayan, delivered on 22 Mar 2012 at week 38 weighing 3.895kg and 52cm long.

I had felt pain since midnight but dismissed it as mild food poisoning but when my tummy hurt at every 15 mins from 5am, I knew it was Rayan calling. Shawn was not too sure about that and insisted us to be in office wear in case of false alarm *roll eyes*. He ended up in tee because I gave him the look that screamed "please don't, and not even waxing your hair!". Traffic to Thomson Medical was insane at 7am near Dunearn but luckily we made it to hospital at only 5cm dilated. Phew. I cannot picture delivering Rayan in our car!

Rayan was out 2 hours later with just 3 strong push. Thanks to his Jie Jie Rachel who had 'expanded' the path for him. LOL.

July

Staycation at MBS with our going-to-be 3 yr old girl and 3 mth old boy. Life was not easy having to find food for Rachel and breast feeding Rayan on time. But we did it in our first night out with them. Yeah.

We finally baptised Rayan when he was slightly past 4 months, with Sebastian as his Godpa too! We felt it would be easier for Rachel and Rayan to have the same godparents. Stressful job for Sebas! :P

Not forgetting our forever sweet princess Rachel who turned 3 in Oct. Good bye Terrible Two? I hope it was just that but nope. We moved on to the year of Troublesome Three! But life continued to stay blissful though or even so!

Rachel became such a cute chatterbox and constantly amused us with her answers. Here are 3 of our conversations of the MANY.

In a restaurant with pretty cold air-conditioning
Daddy: Rachel, are you cold?
Rachel: Yes daddy.
Daddy: Ok, then you wear pants (under dress) and you wont feel cold.
*** after wearing pants, Rachel continued dancing in the restaurant, twirling her dress and 5 mins later ***
Rachel:
Daddy: Why you take off your pants?
Rachel: Princess don't wear pants, daddy.
Daddy:  [whispering to mummy] 爱美不要命
 
In the car
Rachel: [wore diaper in car to relieve as not possible to endure till nearest toilet]
Mummy: Rachel, you done with your shh shh? . Woah, your diaper so hot!
Rachel: Cause I drink hot water ma.
Mummy: *roll eyes* haha
 
Just one weekend
Rachel: Mummy, later I draw Mummy, Daddy, Ah Going and Ah Ma and....
Mummy: that's nice! So what dress will you draw for mummy?
Rachel: pink dress!
Mummy: Then what dress will you draw for yourself?
Rachel: hmmm... I wear bikini!
Mummy: argghh
